Taking a splash for Cancer Research UK - Stephen Fell
A quick 4 day trip to San Fran, a little work and R&R

For those who don’t know me, exercise and I haven’t always seen eye to eye however last year I rediscovered a love for swimming and now find myself in the pool most days before work. Without too much #overshare last year was a difficult one for me, watching someone very close to me battle with cancer and sadly lose that fight.

What’s worst is that I’m not alone, so many of us are affected by cancer in some way or another and we have to fight back. I’m planning on taking part in a number of fundraising events throughout the year to raise cash for Cancer Research UK and Macmillan thought this year.

On the 12th June I’ll be taking part in Europe’s biggest open water swimming event in Windermere with around 10,000 others, I’ll be swimming the 1 Mile course which is the equivalent to 64 lengths of a 25meter swimming pool. Over the next 11 weeks I’ll be trying to get myself mentally and physically prepared for the challenge as well as trying to double my current nonstop range of 800meters to ensure I make it around the course without the aid of a support boat
